In Luke 13:19, Jesus used a parable to compare the Kingdom of God to a small mustard seed that a man planted in his garden. The seed eventually grows into a tree, illustrating that the Kingdom of God starts small but grows to become something much larger and more significant than that little seed could ever imagine.
At the core of our faith is the belief that when Jesus formed us in our mother's wombs, He planted the DNA of the Kingdom of God within us. Our mission is to help people discover the truth about their Creator, how deeply loved they are, and how they have the potential to create blessings and beauty all around them when they abide in and follow Christ Jesus.
If the Kingdom of God is at hand, what should it look like? Where do I find it? Most of us might have some knowledge about Heaven, who Jesus was, and what He did, but the experience of the Kingdom of God remains largely uncharted territory in our lives. Jesus preached that His Kingdom was at hand - not just a future hope but a present reality, awaiting our recognition and active participation. Then He showed us what the Kingdom looks like by healing, restoring, freeing, loving, honoring, celebrating, and creating a whole new community of people who were transformed, filled with joy and shared everything with each other.
Jesus prays, "Father, your Kingdom come, your will be done on Earth as in Heaven." What would it look like if the Kingdom of God came to your home or neighborhood or job or school like we see in Heaven? This is the problem. Most of us have never truly seen or experienced the reality of the Kingdom of God in our present context.
God gave us a vision of a large community space about nine years ago. It was a place where followers of King Jesus could gather to live, learn, and share His love and generosity with everyone in our community. It was a space that met the needs of the community and helped give tools, resources and space to bring healing to the whole person...body, mind, soul and spirit. This space crossed church lines and denominations. It was like a glimpse of Heaven on Earth where every tribe, tongue, and nation was represented. The space was filled with average, ordinary people who were growing, learning, and doing extraordinary things with exceedingly great love, deep joy, and supernatural power. Every single person who stepped through the doors was welcomed, seen, known, and loved. Everyone was growing and transforming into the image of King Jesus so that those walking in could see a glimpse into His heart. Jesus longs for everyone to see Him, know Him, and encounter His love for them so that they can be that tiny acorn that grows into a flourishing fruitful tree". This is the Kindgom of God. This is where seeds of joy, peace, and love are planted that change entire communities!
Can you imagine it?
For a physical place to function like this, it must be filled with the presence of God and cultivated by humble people who hunger to experience King Jesus enthroned as the supreme authority in their lives. It is stewarded by people who know they are deeply loved, are radically generous with their time and talents, love to celebrate, and are willing to partner with all God is doing around them - no matter the cost. It is where the Kingdom of God can be felt in the atmosphere because each person is honored, celebrated, and loved as a new creation, part of a new family.
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" - He is calling each one of us into a new and beautiful reality. Can you hear Him? Will you answer His call? Will you join us in building a Kingdom culture so we can see a glimpse of Heaven on Earth?"
